Finally brought the old Darley in from its spot out by the pool for a little clean-up...here's my granddaughter checking it out!

Thanks...it's not the original controller but it is a motor driven, two cam controller. And, six of the eight lenses are the original commands...the other two are plain smileys.

And the yellow housing is a CH housing, probably designed for neon, but equipped with a fiber optic insert that I'm cleaning up...

CH? You'll have to provide more pics. I've only seen Econolite use that E8 casting.

I'd love to find a fiber insert for mine. That's one of the rarer versions of the neon peds.

You gotta start early....where is her GT shirt???? :rotfl:
Great stuff though, that one is similar to Dr P's, if I recall his was converted from two to eight and now it is back to two. Did you build the cam in it as well?

She's 2 and 3/4 right now, and she knows the colors and their meanings and what a stop sign is...so she's on her way!

Dr. P's was a 8-bulb and I stripped out the innards and we had the CE shop guy build a divider plate so we could make it a 2 bulb. The controller was the original so we kept that. His came from Lake Wales, Florida; I think one of his short course students sent it to him. It came to him in 1976, as I recall.

Mine came from Tuscaloosa, Alabama; I bought it at a SSITE (before it became SDITE) auction in Gulf Breeze; I'd flown to the meeting so I asked Doug Hefty, the Cobb TE, to bring it back for me in his camper van. I got mine in 1984 or so...
