Brazilian signals!

Postby Lostazhell on Sun Mar 17, 2013 8:05 pm

These look like something from the Jetsons to me! Is anyone familiar with how these work?

Looks as though the vehicular heads are fancy housings with colored flood light bulbs screwed in!

They appear to be just like normal signals, but without sections :nono: I do like the look though
The time countdowns on the right of the signals are green, left are red... but why not just use 1 LED?

Forget about the signals I'm streetviewing the Brazilian Chicana!

I'm not sure what your question is? They appear to be R/Y/G like signals with green and red countdowns.

I was more or less curious about light sequence and if these were solely running on timers or if there was any type of detection that I was missing.. I didn't spot any loops or signs of video when i was looking. The 2nd pic from the bottom might have a controller box on it

These lights look cool, but also appear to be akin to something you'd find at IKEA. Modern design cheaply made. The mast/pole setups don't appear to be much more than 3" rigid with a sweep in it, so I don't imagine these things being too substantial on that front either. (The first thing I thought of when I saw them was Tomorrowland at Disneyland. )

Here's another one from Brazil

Ohh, and the chicas.....

14 conductors just for that signal! I wonder how the turn lanes look!
