Hiya Folks,

Sondra and I went exploring in the junk lot this morning. Seems we are starting to run out of things to bring home.
We did pick up some more button reflector signs which are roughly 2ft x 2 ft and another play ground animal.

When I came across this animal, I thought it was another horse but looking at the ears and teeth, realized it is a jackass. Something else for Sondra's playground farm.

We did see other items in the mix/mess and below are some photos.

Some porcelean signs we want.

This is Joe the guy who owns this treasure lot.

Asked him about the two flag mount Eagles and he is still not ready to sell. ????

Anyhow, we did grab a couple of items to keep us busy. The junk lot will be open the next two Saturdays and will close until late September. Hoping to find a couple more treasures before he closes.

Cheers!

Can you pick up that 12 inch light? No one knows who made them and if someone gets one the mystery may be solved. ;)
There is a crossing somewhere that has those lights on it, but I'll have to look around for quite a while before I'll be able to give you a link (not a Google Maps link) to it.
I am a railfan, signalfan, and I'm interested in tornado sirens. I hope to learn new things about traffic lights because I'm interested in them and don't know much about them.

Intended or not, some of your pictures are downright artsy. The proprietor looks like an interesting character too.

This next Saturday, I can take a few more photos of that RR light and maybe find a manufacturer's name or mark. Otherwise I don't have any use for this light.

Cheers!

Can you bring a wrench an open up the light? The inside of the light is what most likely has the manufacturing information.

Hi Folks,

Spent the morning digging around in the junk lot.
Here are a couple of items we rescued today. Three postage stamp vending boxes in good condition that were stored out of the weather with 1 & 3 cent stamps in the windows. An old porcelain scale dial, another RR 2 track sign plus some parts for CHs.

Rexall sign.

Sapstein Drugs by what Joe said was in Chicago long time ago.

Sondra picked up some small items to repaint that are not pictured.

Next Saturday is the last day the junk lot is open for the summer. Plan to trade a 6-1/2 foot post we repainted earlier in the year for a post that is about ten plus tall we can use for the monster CH light setup.

With respects to the unknown RR light freebrickproductions inquired about...

As to the old unmarked RR light, I did open it and there were not any manufacturer's name or mark in it. The reflector was glass and was shattered from being thrown around in the lot. Didn't have my camera with me at the time.

Seems our project list continues to expand.......

Cheers!

Why don't you and Junkman Joe just swap properties? He gets the restored lights and you don't have to haul all of the picks you find back home.
