Found your lovely forum a few weeks back while trying to research an old Iowa highway sign and the highway numbering system in our state. Looks like I found a lot of wise people and a great source for my new hobby.

Welcome to the forum. There are other members in Iowa, could be your neighbors. Of course even then, it may be a 20 mile drive to their house based on my experience visiting a couple of them a few years back.
