Street Lights

Cool No Left turn Light ...I think if you look at the bottom of the pic you can see the car TURNING left!! :Phil:

Some Ball crosses for Easy

Several lamp posts

Most of the lights have new hardware but some are still using some of the old hardware like this set.
I think they are Eagle clams.

More to come.... :panic: :panic: :panic:

It is kind of cool, but I still prefer the CH neon NO LEFT TURN signs. Did you spy any of those during your trip?

I saw a 3M pedestrian signal there during my trip last year.
Have you seen any of those?

I have not seen a PED but I have seen post mounted 3Ms and I will have to take a pic of the 5 sections I found.

Here is another pic of the old police and fire boxes.

They are on most of the street corners and their are many different kinds.

3M Peds are still in service, in more than three intersections, at least. Lenses have been upgraded (probably early 2000's) to Hand/Man, not worded.

All signals in DC proper are getting replaced - no more grey. Everything (Vehicle & Ped) are being replaced by Durasigs in black. (New poles to match, as well, *and* overhanging masts!)

There's 2 'No Left Turn' neons in use - tho I do not know where they are right now.

I saw some in the vicinity of the Smithsonian when I was there IIRC, but I wasn't in a position to take pictures. I think they were South of the Smithsonian "mall"...

Those are gone, now. All the ones along Independance Ave (south of the Mall) are gone. :( There is a 3M ped West of there, tho, over near the tide pool - http://goo.gl/maps/sDXzN
