Noting Larry's wise advice about the potential noise factor of EM controllers in "inside display". (ironically one of their most endearing if also accidentally inconvenient characteristics??

) My Electro-Matic sits on 1/8" felt in its cabinet, which in turn sits on a couple layers of thick felt pads on the tabletop where it lives at the moment. Even at that, it very efficiently transmits the THUNK-A of its solenoid quite thoroughly into the framework of this big old barn of a house, and can clearly be heard
anywhere within when it is running.
Roxy kitty has finally become mostly used to it, but I was still startled for a moment a few weeks ago when I was outside in the driveway and realized I could hear it THUNK-A
out there, too...??
