Deleting messages

Postby steven1981 on Wed Mar 14, 2012 7:04 pm

Could a member actually delete his own message from a thread if he decides that he doesn't want there? Or if it was merely an accidental message?

Would be a nice feature for members if it does not exist.

You have an option to edit for a few hours after your post. Remove it or reword it during that timeframe.

Steven, if you want a message of yours deleted after the time frame in which you can delete them expires just drop a line to the mod of the thread you are in and we'll zap it for you.

Deletion of messages is not allowed for the simple reason that the revision of history benefits no one. Once you post a message, people read it and reply to it. It becomes a matter of record. If we allow the modification or deletion of messages after the fact, then it can inadvertently change the meaning of subsequent posts.

The Butterfly Effect??? :rotfl: :rotfl:

That is why one should post wisely. I know the reason Steven is asking is because of a post where I made a note of how the NYC controllers I have operated. I probably did not help with what I wrote in a reply. However, I do not know what he wrote, Nor do I care. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, For which I do respect.
So, with that being said, Feel free to make fun of or insult me and I will just laugh you off...... :tease:
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.
