Thanks for the compliments, guys! :hello:

And since I failed to mention it, that is as close to the original color as we could get without going custom. It's RAL 6009 (Dark Fir Green) with a 90-100% gloss factor  and was matched with the unexposed original paint inside the signal sections.

Man that looks sweet. Good call with having it powder coated.

Well I swung by work today and was able to make quick use of the sandblasting cabinet to get the nasty rust off of the tabs that secure the reflectors into place when they are closed. Once they were clear of rust, there was still some discoloration from where it had been so I elected to spray them silver.

I didn't realize it was a metallic silver but as it doesn't show up except under direct light, I'm not too concerned.

I may have to spray these once more as you can still see the discoloration on some of the plates.

For those of you who aren't on Facebook or aren't friends with me, I've made some progress.

Freshly painted reflector locking tabs and plates with brand-new brass hardware.

Wired up with Gordon's fantastic reproduction wiring.

Rehabbed Terminal Block

Dry-fitting Steve's visors which just landed today. They go to powder tomorrow.

I've made the full Facebook photo album of the restoration public so if you want to see start-to-finish documentation, CLICK HERE!

IT IS DONE!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Well almost...just waiting on the replacement gaskets and then it will be 100% but for now, pull out the buckets and get ready to . Thanks go to Steve for the fantastic visors, Gordon for the wiring and socket rehab and Jay for all the help via the phone. This signal was my very first restoration and it has the mark of every single one of you here on it in some way. This DT lives on for STF...thank you. :hello:
