Personally, because my goal is to collect and preserve as much variation as possible I try to balance the enjoyment with wear. I try not to keep my signals in a position like green/red rest, nor run more than ~25W bulbs. It keeps the wires and sockets preserved longer.

No, regular bimodal GE LED insert in an Econolite. Only have one signal head at this time. My 12-8-8-12.

Here the standard was:

8" was 69, 67 (odd), or 60 watts
12" Ball - 150W (old), 135 W (more recent)

12" PED or Masked Lens - 116Watt

The City of Los Angeles in the incandescent ICC peds and the old Econolite peds with the incandescent ICC conversion kits used 90 watt bulbs in the latter incandescent years. I only have a few of these bulbs, and wish I had snagged more when I had the chance. Once again, I think because the city did a thorough job cleaning lenses and reflectors, the lower wattage worked fine.
