Darley Controllers?

Postby coyttl on Sat May 25, 2013 7:26 am

Hey all.

It seems that the fist 4-way I ever technically 'bought' is coming back to me. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep it, but haven't decided 100% yet. Because of that, I'd like to get some info..

It's a 12-bulb 4-way, in case that matters.

Did Darley ever make a mech controller to handle this type of light? (Like the other 3-bulb controllers I've seen ya'll post videos of on here..) Once I get it, I'd rather NOT have it run on a newer controller, I'd like to go back to a mechanical one - seems right, given the light. If they didn't make one, then I need to look at another, small mechanical controller for it. If they *did*, about what would one go for if someone here had an extra one? (I mean, we talking the $500 range, $100 range, or $unobtanium?)

Cheers -
Mike.

My 3 bulb controller will also run a 12 bulb. It has two separate yellow circuits that are wired together for the 3 bulb version of the signal. I would think that all of these controllers are made nearly the same.

Oh, neat. Didn't know that. (Having never seen one in person..) I may have to look into getting one.

I'm guessing that it then has 4 outputs? 1 R/G, 1 Y1, 1 G/R, 1 Y2?
Or is it full 6 circuit?

Mike,

Here are a few pics of one of my Darley controllers. It is actually inside a W. S. Darley control box.

Cool, guys. Thanks for the pictures. Neat little things. I'll definitely need to get one for my light now.
