China

Postby made in china on Mon May 25, 2009 12:21 am

Recently spent some time in Shanghai, China. Took some pics of the signals there, unfortunately when we happened upon the 300mm yellow with countdown timer I found that my wife left the camera's memory card back in our apartment :cry:

But hey, enjoy the album:

And if anybody can chime in if any of these Chinese signals seem to be a copy of some other country, let me know. AFAIK (I only know USA equipment) these Chinese signals seems legit.

They do look a bit like a cross between an Alusig and an LFE/Automatic 12".

Dennis

Very cool post!

I really like how the bike rider speeds up his pedaling when the signal goes into flash mode.

Also like the LED countdown ped with the bars.

I dislike:

a) Single-aspect,
b) Blackout between each colour, and;
c) Uncompatability with UTMC or VA systems.

Having the red (and green) get more difficult to see as the cycle times-out seems really odd. I remember being in Mexico City with my family when I was a teenager, and at some lights the green would blink 5 times before turning yellow. It was kind of cool .. although seems a bit redundant since yellow is supposed to signal "going to be red soon" :)
