I painted a bunch of hardware and my Econolite cabinet a few weeks ago, and the paint stays on by itself, but if I so much as bump it with a hard object the wrong way, the paint comes right off. The primer generally stays intact, but the paint does not. I'm just curious if this is the nature of spray paint finishes (I have only done a couple so far), or if I'm doing something wrong. I know I could put clear coat on there, but I don't want the extra "shine", and I'd rather the paint weather naturally if possible.

I have had similar experiences. It takes the paint a LONG time to fully cure and not be so fragile. I wouldn't call it brittle though...soft is more my experience.

I agree with Jerry, seems the longer the paint cures, the tougher it is.

Hey there Mark, I seen a pic of ya standing under your Eagle. 1st time I can put a face to your name
So the trap door is for service
If ya cut a hole in it you'd have a down light :tease:

Several people stated that they have never seen an Eagle with this configuration with a down light, I tried it out though.

I like the blank door better.
