If he cant make money, then no one else should.

Everyone knows how that goes....
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

It would be cool to have the local newspaper print an article on how the city is missing out on an opportunity to cash in.....or how they could have a CHARITY auction.......... :Phil:

This may not be a popular opinion here but...

The city should put them on that certain auction site that I hate. They should do so one at a time with unpredictable timing so they get the best price for each. This would allow the taxpayers to reap whatever the market will bear for these historical treasures that they own.

I think we all agree that destroying them is insane.

I have to agree with this!

But all of the City's taxpayers should be notified that the city will have "EXTRA" money coming in!

I like where OT is going with this...

Presuming it hasn't been too long since they all got pulled from the streets, surely SOME of the rest of the "normal citizens/taxpayers" also noticed them going away...? Was there any mention in the local media then?? (maybe the reporter would be interested in a 'followup story'?) Even a 'Letter to the Editor' of the local paper might help to generate a little "public interest", thereby hopefully reducing the chance of them being "scrapped, at least"...?

:fright: :panic: :nono:
