Greeting All

Postby Jwings041 on Sun Jul 08, 2012 8:06 am

Hello all,

Here is a little bit about myself, I've been working as a Traffic Signal Tech down here in SW Florida for about a year. The main reason I joined this forum is because I was out on a call the other day and I came across a Controller fault that I had never seen before and nor had anyone else in my shop. I thought what better way to find something out than turn to forums on the net and see if anyone else has seen the same problem. With that said thank you for the opportunity to let me join and I look forward to seeing what the site has to offer.

WELCOME, Josh! Glad to have 'ya aboard!!

Naples is a beautiful place -- I spent a little time there a few yrs ago (for work) and enjoyed it a lot!

I forget the name of the pest-control guy (or was it a dry-cleaners?) who has his fleet of antique cars all painted up with the Co. slogan/phone # and scattered all over the place in everybody else's parking lots -- what FUN advertising! :good:

Welcome, I'm a signal supervisor in the opposite corner of the country. What was the controller problem?

Thanks Tacoma Joe,

Well I was on call and was called out to an intersection from the personnel at the TMC (Traffic Management Center) of a reported IIF (Intersection in Flash). Upon arriving at the intersection I noticed it was running like it was suppose to be. I then checked my Reports/Alarm screen and I seen this.

DIAG: FIELDIO FAULT
DIAG: FIELDIO RESPONSE MAX

Down here we run NEMA TS2 cabinet with an Eagle EPAC M51 controller and EDI MMU 16-E. I asked around and there wasn't really anyone that had seen this problem before, and I looked into the manual and of course it was vague. It said that it had something to do with communication, but know sure if it was back to our TMC over the fiber?

Any input would be great or if you had seen this problem before.

Josh
