They're incandescent...I'd bet the $16 that I currently have to my name that they are.

THE PAIN,THE PAIN!!! It seems like these old signals are being removed everyday! What a shame! Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos!

I used to love driving through Coldwater on the old Sauk Trail (US-12) and glancing down the street a block to spy the compact little GE's cycling away. It's really a bummer they've been removed, they were on a quiet little sidestreet on the edge of a nice historic neighborhood, and the last vestige of the once numerous pairs of old signals located in this town.

I drove through Coldwater in early March 2011 and they were still in service then. I should have gotten a photo of them but I already had some great shots from a couple years before. Somewhere I have a video of a full cycle of these lights in 2009....I'll have to dig that up and post it. I do hope the signals were able to be saved...they seemed to be in really good shape. Sad to see another Michigan 4-way installation disappear :cray:

Crank up the volume, and click the link to see the movie I shot of a full cycle of the Coldwater GE 4-ways in service in March 2009. I really hope these were preserved someplace......

Those are most likely GE brick style lenses. I forget the number on them, but Econolite long and short grooves used the same lenses, only those said Econolite instead of GE in the middle. I have a set of three GE in my streamline.

I have those in my streamline, and they have no number printed on them. (Well, on mine at least.)
