Hiya Folks,

With our digging around yesterday we came across a broken CH downlight.

Looking for suggestions on what to do with it.

The edges around the break looks like they can be cleaned up so the two pieces will fit back together. Wondering if it is worth welding, trashing or otherwise? We have thought of trimming back from the broken edge on the light, drill new holes and hang it under our awning in such a way to illuminate signs on our fence.

Suggestions?

Cheers!

I vote for SAVE IT too!! :good:

or at least, sell/trade it to someone else here that will save it --
PLEASE don't 'cut it down' to hang on the fence! :fright: :nono:

Bolt it to the bottom of a single-section fixture. Paint it up and make it look pretty, and you will have the world's coolest porch light.

Obviously worth saving.

I'd recommend gluing or siliconing the two pieces to a CHAD single section then tacking or otherwise locking the pieces in place for welding. That way you ensure everything is aligned.

Hi Guys,

The down light is not a priority but just something we found while acquiring other items. With the other ongoing projects like 4 to 5 CH lights, letter box, Sondra's playground toys, lamp post, etc. the down light is way down the list on what we will eventually do with it.

Do appreciate all suggestions.

Cheers!
