SE-PA and NJ crew: Interested in a Trenton meet?

Postby Macsignals on Tue Dec 11, 2012 10:49 pm

Would any of us be interested in a meet/tour of Trenton's old signal installs? They still have a ton of Marb, Eagle and LFE equipment including some Marb peds with a flashing WALK cycle. The new stuff is starting to move in so I think it'd be wise to do this before it's too late. There are plenty of places to eat (I'm thinking in particular of a pizza place on this side of the bridge in Morrisville). Many of the intersections are within walking distance of each other and are in safe areas, the not-so-safe areas would be optional or reserved for just a drive-by.

I'm thinking early spring would be a good time, so probably March or April. There's a handful of train stations around for those of us who can't/don't want to drive. We could do like the Pottstown meet, meet up around here (my house would be an option) and carpool over since parking would be an issue in the city.

Let me know what you guys think and I'll throw a list of intersections together. If there's any interest we could merge in a few stops in my area, mainly old PennDOT installs.

I'm in. I could easily take my bike to Trenton by way of the D&R Canal tow path!

Although it is too early to provide you with a definite answer, I am interested.

Before early Spring arrives, I'll let you know if I could make it. It would be nice to visit Trenton for the first time and see some goodies.

I'll go only if things don't get to crazy. Last time while we were smashing pumpkins 1 member was beating up women and young children. :Wink2: :Wink2:

Love the tow path! Been a long time since I was there. I'm interested, but depends on what's happening with the fam at that point. Keep us posted!
Peace!

Looking at the calendar, any preference as to March vs April? I'd like to avoid May since Ohio falls beginning of the month. I'm looking beginning/middle of each month, March 9/10 or April 13/14 (the first being a Saturday the second being the Sunday for a rain date).

Glad everyone's interested!

My schedule's open both weekends so far. I suppose March is better, as sooner is always better when trying to see old signals in service.
