At least you have the clam shells if you wanted to mount the signal to a pole.....I had to do a direct mount to a couple of flanges!

Hiya Old-Timer,

We have not decided exactly what to do with or where the horizontal CH will go. Since we are restoring two of those old CHs for the junk lot guy, figure it is not much more difficult to just do all we can at once.

Checked out your photos and you have an impressive collection! :hello:

Cheers!

Thanks for the compliments Chinese Arrow Mark! My wife thinks its a pile of scrap aluminum!

When Jay first saw my signal room he said....."there is nothing here post 1950", and I said that I want to keep it that way!!!

I should update some pictures

Hi Folks,

We have started the paint stripping of parts. Will probably be a wet day here in Houston with rain in the forecast but will try to get what we can done.

Parts before pressure washing.

Same parts after pressure washing.

On at least half of the parts, a good bit of paint came off. This will make for less time using the blast cabinet I hope.

If we get a downpour or two today, will start cleaning up the reflector brackets and other hardware.

Cheers!

Hiya Folks,

Was able to get a few parts cleaned up today. Used a brass wire wheel to clean most of the paint off and then stuck in the blast cabinet to get the hard to get spots.

These are ready for the blast cabinet.

Hope to knock out a couple more parts tomorrow before Sondra starts running the parts through the dishwasher.

Cheers!
