Powder coating really seems to be the way to go for that perfect finish. Looking forward to seeing this one completed!

Well...its all done!! Despite what you may see this restoration was far from perfection. The main issue for me was getting the doors to attach on the signal, which was a chore and probably shouldn't have been!! :Phil: The powdercoater coated the hinges with paint (despite me saying watch them! :rob: ) which froze up and warped alot of them. I straightened out the best I could. I installed the visors but the city really butchered this light up with every single visor screw being a different size and multiple DT parts intermixed with D. :panic: The visor screws will be drilled and retapped at a later date but for now its ok. I just want to light this thing up!!

Again, far from perfect...but meets my very lenient standards

Pictures!

To start....here is the light the day I brought it home from Joe C's house

Fast forward a few weeks and we have......

It is 1AM so the signals in the back are in nighttime flashing mode which accounts for some signals yellow and others dark. The M can't see over his taller brother!

All it needs is some bulbs...otherwise it would be working now. All the connections are made to the cabinet.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks!! :hello: I think it turned out well!

Since everything was wired and ready, I bought 12 bulbs today to fire it up

I was thinking of a finial :Wink2: First I need more cash in the traffic light fund!

I'm one of those crazy guys that doesn't like using a hanger on a signal unless I have a cable coming out of it. In this case the cables are running through the pole

I was going to say a finial too, but figured your signal funds are tapped out right now after all this. I saw the hanger on the M 4 way so that's why I mentioned it.

Hey, I just noticed something...the acorn nuts were not black when you got it from Joe. Did you paint them?

I actually used a paint pen on the acorns! I seen another members 4 way with black acorn nuts on the yellow body and thought it was really sharp
