It looks much like a Crouse-Hinds Type R with funny doors. The visors are held on with screws around the lens opening like on older American style signals.

The doors are held on with a diagonally opposed set of Dzus screws like on a Singer or TSI lightto suck them into the body mounted gaskets. The doors swing out on two arms each.

Inside the signal looks like a first generation DuraSig signal. The reflector, lens, and lens mask are held in with a special gasket that mounts through the door, trapping everything. The lamp socket is a fixture that is removable seperate of the reflector.
The lenses are a larger version of the classic diffusing crosshatch. These lenses are clear glass with a red and green man mask placed behind them giving an odd clear set back look as on some modern LEDS.

The body appears to be all aluminum. Mounting is via standard European arms and bolts. The signal was found glossy black, perhaps it was a brown or gray color originally?
Here it is displayed on an European controller.
