No that pic is from Dave's collection in Ohio and the 'entrance' is at LarryC's house of pain
museum of signal specialties. To date I am still Essco free

No, you had one, albeit for a short time. ;)

I looked at the ESSCO restoration that Larry had to actually cast-up parts for on Sunday -- but missed the silver standard ESSCO restoration thread.

It looks like the standard ESSCO uses similar door hold-downs and thumb screws to the Tokheim pictured above. Anybody out there have samples I can beg, borrow or buy so I can replace the ones that I need for my restoration?

I have added 8 pictures to the first post.

I have info on the thumb-bolts and latch plates. Give me a couple of days toget them off the old PC.

Latch plates are just a piece of bent bar stock.

Yes that is true and it probably still would have been in the condition I bought it at the rate I restore signals.
Moderately inspirational message.

Up Until WWII, The Chicago Park district absolutely did install and maintain all of the traffic signals on Chicago's boulevards (streets that run through, or on the perimeter of, parks) My good friend and Mentor about the early days of signaling in Chicago, Carmen Passarelli, who would have turned 105 this year, was a Lineman, and Member of IBEW local 9 for 40+ years, retiring in 1974. He was filled with stories of maintaining those old Esscos, and was sad when the traffic signal operations were taken over by the Bureau of Streets and Sanitation in 1948, (if I remember correctly) He chose to stay on with the Park district after the split, and continued to install and maintain the lighting in Chicago's Parks until his retirement.
