Contact "Points" on an EM Eagle controller...question

Postby jeepguy61 on Sat Jan 26, 2013 2:26 pm

Hi All,

It is probabley a fairly simple questions for all the old hands at this, but on an Eagle EF20 there is the CAM that advances with that row of all the contact points, should I worry about filing the contacts with some sort of breaker point file like we did on old car ignitions? They look like they've gotten alittle crusty over the years but still work fine...

Thanks!

My recomendation is to knock off any crust with the corner of the points file or dental pick and give them a quick rub with some emery cloth. The contacts wear together, so it's a good idea to keep the pairs together.
