they probably bought off of Southern signal and switch and sold them as there own

:rob: They didn't have tags in the porthole era. Neither mine nor OT's has a tag, the only ones I've seen with a "tag" are some Sowells that had the name cast onto them. Later Southern's picked up the tag.
