Registering is free and easy. And while you must use your real email address to register, you have the option of hiding it from public view in your profile. Because even if you have it hidden, people can still send you a private message via this board (that will be waiting for you the next time you log on). Of course, you can also choose to be a complete hermit and disable this as well.
Registrations will always be approved within 24 hours, but usually MUCH sooner than that.
