24Vdc supply for 332 type cabinets...

Postby scrotor on Tue Oct 29, 2013 11:10 am

Most of the older style cabinets out there have a rack mounted 24Vdc supply that is just only that- the 24vdc supply.

Then came the PDA#2 that have all the breakers and also houses the 24vdc A.K.A. "206" power supply.

1) I'm finding it difficult to find a vendor for a replacement for the old style 24vdc. Does anyone have a lead?

2)
Since the 24vdc outputs are Identical between the two styles ( based on the DC fuse rating being the same @ 6.25amp) Is there a product out there that lets you upgrade the old rack 24vdc with a rack adapter that accepts the 206 style power supply?
Bring back the 820A!!! TS-2 Type 2 !

Safetran makes those power supplies still! I've got the part number ready for you, I'll send an email.

I'm not sure about the adapter you're asking about. I would think it might take some work to fit a PDA style rack into one of those cabinets if it wasn't designed for one; you'd have to rewire it to get all the signal circuit breakers in there. I've never seen one myself though so I'm not sure, it may be easier than I think.
