Like the old yellow STOP sign--unusual font--what state was this sign located in?

Not sure what state that stop sign was located. I got it from Ed here in the club...maybe he knows :scratch:

Mike, That is a great collection. Lots of diversity which gives it a lot of character. Are you going to acquire any more signs? Like the Freeway/Interstate sign photos too.

IIRC, that particular STOP sign came from Georgia. I'll look to see if I have any more details on it.

But that font (the squared lettering) was widely used on early STOPs. What makes this particular sign somewhat unique IMHO is that it doesn't have the horizontal separators that are normally included with signs of that vintage (like this one)
