Ends are slightly tapered to allow easy insertion into mount.

Note: some signals (usually D's and some earlier DT's) use this same screw, but they have an undercut. Mcmaster-Carr only has the undercut ones in 5/16" lengths, but they will work. Zinc plated undercut ones are still out there in the proper length, but they are very hard to find in small quanities.

This is for everyone that was asking for a CH hardware list, with the proper screw sizes and locations. This isn't a complete list, but it should cover the majority of CH signals (DT especially). If you have any additions, or corrections, please post them.

Note: not all type D hardware is listed.

That must have taken a amazing amount of work Jason! After any correction/additions have come in, I would like to put that in the archive so it won't get lost.

I had several lists saved on my computer, and a lot of screw bags with all of the sizes marked on them from the last deco I restored, so it didn't really take that long to do. I just thought I would put them all together, because I got tired of trying to remember what went where.

It's nice to see all of that information assembled in one place and so neatly formatted. Great work! I wish this resource had existed when I restored my DT 4-way. I have no doubt this will be helpful to many people's future restoration projects.

(On the other hand, I have to admit that I had a lot of fun hunting on my own for a lot of this information a piece at a time. There can be a sort of zen to bringing a screw to home depot and holding it up alongside every piece of hardware that they sell trying to find a match. )

Sounds like a good way to get a headache to me! :rotfl:

As I was one of those people pestering some folks here to get this list created - I just had to weigh in to say THANK YOU!! This list will be a great help to just about everyone here at some point or another.

I'm just a beginner currently working on only my 1st and 2nd restoration projects. Everyone here has been so eager to help, generous with knowledge and patient. I only hope that someday I can pass it on to someone else here who is just beginning in the hobby.
