This is the new member sandbox. Until you post a little something about yourself here, you don't get to play on the rest of the board. So tell us a little something about yourself and your signals.

Hi all,

Casey P. from Tulsa, OK here.
I am a traffic signal tech here in Tulsa. Started off as a Journeyman Electrician and graduated to an Electronics Tech so I work on everything from the electrical service down to to controller and monitor circuitboards and everything in between. While most of my time is spent "putting out fires", I also am involved in wiring cabinets before feild installation and occasionally installing them myself. I joined this site to maybe learn a few things or share some of the things I have learned.

Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

Welcome, I'm a supervisor now so union rules keep me from working on signals for the city like I used to but I have many of my own projects to keep me busy. What controllers are you running in Tulsa? Here in Tacoma we have TMP-390, LMD and M-50 (Seimens) along with the last ten EF20 mechanicals.

Thanks to everyone. @Joe, everything new going in are 170E's with Bitrans software. We have McCain Coldfires in some intersections but aren't real satisfied with the way they operate with our communications system. We still have Traconex 390's in most of our NEMA cabinets. We use McCains Quicnet central system with approximately 150 signals online with a mixture of fsk and wireless communications. We have about 4 different brands of video detection (Traficon, Autoscope, Peek, & Econolite). Right now I'm prepping a cabinet with Sensys wireless detection and Polara Pedestrian pushbutton system with the talking pushbuttons.
