I am a railfan, signalfan, and I'm interested in tornado sirens. I hope to learn new things about traffic lights because I'm interested in them and don't know much about them.

This is the best news I've heard all day :yes: I'd like to join the new forum or be grandfathered into the new system. I don't belong to any other forum, Face book, or any other social media besides here. I find myself on here on a daily basis and have really enjoyed it.

Ed rules for putting this together :thumbsup: That's a super spicy donkey thumbs up.

YES -- this appears to be excellent news, and I'd also like to be grandfathered in if possible, since the 'registration' thing on the new site doesn't seem to work yet... :scratch: :scratch:

It is working....

You enter your email, and it sends you a link to continue to register.
These are sent out every 10 minutes. Or you can log in via Facebook in the upper right corner.

If you don't get the link, check your spam folder please!

I have no way to "grandfather" people in.... new system, and I have no access to the STF database. Kinda like asking Visa to check with MasterCard on what your new phone number is.

But seriously, if you are getting an error registering, please PM me here or email me WITH THE ERROR MESSAGE and then I can track it down! Thanks!

Someone posted to me a whole bunch of converters to get data transferred over.

But since Ed never said he could GET the data (or the domain name that I mentioned in my posts), guess it's a moot point.

Kinda saddened by that, losing all the posts we've had here for years. :( But, still glad to see the replacement forums up. :D

The way I've understood it, the content of this forum will not be lost. It will be accessible. You just won't be able to post anything new. It will be kept online as an archive. Correct me if I am wrong Ed!

Hi Ed,

I think it is great that you will keep STF up as an archive. Curious if there will be a few functions that will work such as the search feature and can anyone (public) see the threads?
