Interesting Flasher

EM, NEMA, whatever - if it controls a traffic signal, you can talk about it here.

Troy,

It was almost 20 years ago that I ran across a few of these at an electrical contractors shop, If I remember correctly the flashers did look like yours, but I am not sure if the flasher was made by CH. But looking at your picture the gears, shafts, disk, bearing mounts, and frame look simular to the ones used on the CH TSS-18 flasher. I would say there is a very good chance the flasher is CH. Mabe someone in the group has a CH airport lighting catalog in there collection and can see if they show a picture.

Thanks again Rich, I appreciate all the info.

You know, if I could find a decal like the original that would've been on there, I might re-spray gray like it was long ago.

It could be for a HUGE neon sign???
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

The new owner even found a cabinet for it

It's new home with it's Deco cousins next to the gardening department in my garage.
I'm starting to think this is a ch flasher. With the gears the same as those used in others, look at the tabs that hold the bottom axle on, they're lens tabs and screws like the ones in the decos.

Just waiting on a hanger for the top and it'll be done. Shot a short video of it running the deco.

Troy,

That flash interval sure looks like it's for a tower beacon.
I'm so old I remember when the word "mother" only had one meaning!!!

Probably was, but when I brought the idea of putting a tower beacon on the roof, the wife replied with a stern "No!"
