Signal Identification?

Postby khardy on Fri Sep 20, 2013 9:22 am

Hi Folks,

Here are a couple of photos of some lights. Need help identifying them and wondering if they are worth anything?

Photo #1 is REALLY hard to tell. Could be same type as Photo #2.
Photo #2 is some run of a Mark IV / Eagle make. (Or similar mold.)
Photo #3 & #4 - can't tell, but those raised sections to the wingnuts look familiar - someone here should know.

Though, I'm not an expert, others here are. :)

#4 looks like a Crouse-hinds/CH/TCT/Peek 12 inch section on a pair of Durasig/Alusig 12 inch sections.
I am a railfan, signalfan, and I'm interested in tornado sirens. I hope to learn new things about traffic lights because I'm interested in them and don't know much about them.

All modern 12" stuff except for #4 which looks like a Crouse-Hinds. I wouldn't pay more than $50 each for them.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info. These are lights in the nearby area of my parents.

Cheers!

Also, if they have LED's but NO original reflectors...worth about the same as scrap aluminum. Unless you plan on keeping them LEDded - I prefer hi-test or at least unleaded :tease:

Value on them is based on the interest. Remember...some people here like/prefer the newer stuff

But they are also common... so $60 or less up to $100 is really the reasonable range depending on condition.

They look to be in fairly decent shape

Yeah, so do I. But outside of the lopsided ebay world these show up everyday.
