Ok, I found a paint brand and color that I really like!! :hyper:

This is Tractor Supply "School Bus Yellow" I've only put one coat on it, looks like two coats will cover perfectly!! It covers well and is easy to use!! It doesn't have that funky nozzle on the can like the ACE brand paints, the paint actually hits the piece that is being painted.

I tried Phil's suggestion, Tractor Supply "Caterpillar Yellow" on the piece below, it looks nice but I thought it was a bit pale. You all be the judge....

IMO, Tractor Supply's SBY is a very near match to the paint color on my NOS Eagle Mark IV's. It's yellow with just the right amount of orange. Most of all it is easy to use, oh  I said that already.

Hey Phil, thanks for the heads up on this brand of paint.

Ok, I was all ready to paint yesterday since the temperature got above 50 and decided to look at the minimum temperature required to paint with Tractor Supply paint...70 degrees!?!?!?

I'm probably going to have to wait another month!!! DAMMIT!!!

I'm doing the same thing, the Marbelite controller cabinet is getting a fresh new paint job to match the Eagle. Make sure to shake the TS paint very well, I painted some pieces that had spots that stayed tacky for a day and finally dried only to be hazy. I can only think that I didn't shake it well enough.

Phil's tip to wait a week or two between coats (if needed) should be followed, it will bubble up, this paint covers well in one coat.

I'm not liking the directions on this paint. Other paints I have used say re-coat within 1 hour or wait 24 hours...or something similar. This paint does not give any time frame in which you can re-coat!!!!! :rob:

With Today's "Clean Air Spray Paint", It seems that one should wait 2 weeks before repaining another coat if you think it needs more.
I have found that as long as I spray a coat and then wait 15 minutes for it to "Set up" and then add another coat... you can keep that pattern going for a few hours!
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

I agree with Phil's process, you will find out that this paint covers pretty well with one or two coats. I do a fog coat, then come back and fill it in.

Since you have used Ace rattle cans and made your projects look good, using this paint is a breeze compared to Ace.

How's the painting going, did you like the TS SBL?? It takes longer to dry, but I like it better than Ace brand SBY.

I still haven't painted with it yet. Probably this weekend sometime. I could have done it last weekend, but instead, I chose to build a new computer...that is more fun than painting!
