I can see where they come from using the horizontal louver system behind the lenses, but I'm not sure if I really agree with it tbh. They also tried to market the spider-web lenses with the added bonus of being anti-phantom, when infact, IMO, there is more chance of getting phantom off the lense, because the grroves cut into the lense give the light chance to diffuse and reflect insid the lense before it even reaches the reflector.

I'm supprised the Sira lense technology hasn't spread to other countries, however it could be out DfT being a greedy bunch and wanting to keep hold of the general design themselves.

I think the Futurit's also have a similar design, except it's not vertical slits, but hexagonal, and made with reflective material. . . sort of like a honeycomb.

I don't have a sample on hand right now; I apologise for not being able to put on a pic..

Futurit Mondials dont conventionally come with anything behind the lense, AIUI. Although anti-phantom measures are available, as you say, in a honecombe pattern. I also think SBHubber offer it as well?

Ah right. Not too many people over here either, I know Andy, and 3 other people with 5 or more heads. It's a small buisness here in the UK, which is why not a lot of money is exchanged for kit...

What colours do Siemens heads come in?

Siemens heads are available in 3 ways:

 grey cases and mounting suplies with black insets, meaning fronts and visors are black
 completely green, meaning cases, mounting suplies, and fronts with visors
 completely black (see green)

I don't know which type is set up at most. Here near Dortmund they have grey cases with the black fronts (44V technique or LED) but also the completely black heads (10V techniques). The reason for this... no idea.

When you look at the other cities in the Ruhr area you will find mainly completely greenish lights.

On my website I put some pictures of traffic lights in Denmark. At one junction I took pictures of Siemens heads in grey, but black mounting suplies and black fronts. The interesting part is that the whole front of the heads in black  Thats cool I think, but why didn't they take completely black parts?!
