I've had some great luck with CL - off the top of my head these are just some of the things I've scored:
- 20's Ruleta
- 20's Horni beacon
- 20s Miller Highway (AKA West Side Highway) light up sign
Hmm, come to think of it, it was just a bunch of old stuff...

CL used to be a great resource that no one really knew about, but nowadays it's almost as popular as eBay and much more cutthroat. Still some deals to be had but it's a lot more work.

Is your beacon like the one Jesse had, with 6" lenses? I'd love to see these items...maybe in October??

I frequent CL and have had some good luck. I got my Ruleta for $150, a 3-way 3-section Marb cluster for $100, and most recently a GE 4-way with a few spider web lenses for $350. I've also come across a few décor-style signals like the bar lamp and a Yacker Tracker classroom signal that I know I can double or triple my money on a flip.

I just set a limit on how far I am willing to travel for something. A recent acquisition of a Yacker Tracker down by the Jersey shore would have normally been to far to go, but I managed to pick it up on my way to visit family. The GE 4-way was on Long Island, but given what it was, it was worth the 3.5-hour round trip.
Peace!
Jersey Chris

My Darley 3 bulb and Master 4 ways were CL scores. I once found an ad for a neon ped signal and the seller had some incorrect info in the ad, so I emailed him just to give him the correct info. We had a lot of email exchanges and he told me he had a Milwaukee signal he wouldn't mind selling...I grabbed it!

No luck with signals on CL (although I've passed on a few interesting listings to others here) but did end up getting two signs.
I think therefore I am...

I've bought a couple off CL... One was the 'lux, the other was a 3M M-131 RYAGA head with late 3M logos and backplate for $50. I try to keep my searching to stuff that's within 200 miles, so I can do a daytrip and grab it. Unfortunately, thanks to CL changing the way they do their searching, I tend to get a lot of listings from Canada these days. And, nothing from Oregon, which is almost exactly the same distance from Seattle as downtown Vancouver, BC is.
