For some reason, 1959 springs to mind....somewhere in there.

There is a magazine ad announcing the new design of the DT, and I think it was published in 1950. It's probably online in the ad repository that someone in the club set up.

So if the DT started being produced in the early 50's, does anyone know when they stopped production of Art Deco signal?? The next model would be the "M"?? What year??

Is there a way to connect/adapt the Decos to this hardware, the holes are too small on the signals.

I ran into the same problem trying to fit a 1 1/2'' GE finial on top of my Deco :panic: luckily I had another deco to swap parts with. The 1 deco I have had a 1 1/4" hole in the top and bottom and the other deco had a 1 1/2" hole in the top and bottom, so now the bottom of my ped has the 1 1/4" bottom on it and top has the 1 1/2" top to fit the finial.
CH made some tops with 1 1/4" holes and others 1 1/2" holes. I don't know why or if it simply age but it sounds like you have the 1 1/4" holes.
I can't be sure but I think I read on here CH also made ones with 2" holes. Or was that for 4 way tops?

The one to the left has a 1 1/4" hole and the one to the right has the 1 1/2" hole, 2 different castings.

You can take the current nipples out of the bracket, insert 1 1/2" to 1 1/4" conduit reducers in the bracket and then use 1 1/4" nipples. That is how I mounted my light to a deco slipfitter that had a 1 1/2" opening. The reducers don't cost much and are available at local electrical suppliers.

Do the signals mount flush on the brackets with the reducers installed?

In other words, are the reducers hidden in the bracket & signal or do they show?

They are hidden as they go down inside the hole.
