Show Those Oddities! Backwards, Upside Down, Whatever!

I recall seeing this a time or 2 back in the incandescent days, but this is a first for me...

Normally things like this do not bug me, but for some reason, this does...

It took them about two years to fix this one. :Phil:

Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

I agree with Phil on that photo enforced sign! From my archives...

Ohio is abbreviated with a simple "O" on this sign:

The infamous "X" signal in Talleyville, DE (now replaced by the standard DelDOT Dolly Parton)

The typical look to SEPA's left turn signals (though not sure if this is being continued)

Old Jersey style trombone arm complete with Eagle flatbacks in Clifton Heights, PA:

One of New York's signature "tophat" signs:

I'm still puzzled over those pedestrian LEDs with the hand on the right and the man on the left. Did some manufacturers offer these as a special order item?

Ian L I missed the abbreviated sign, I think I was too focused on the semis trying to cut me off to see it!

Either that or they were flipped around, it's not that hard.

Sorry for the poor quality, these were taken with a cell phone camera and the Sun was setting in the background.
No, these are not mirror images! :Phil:

In regards to the updated Stop Ahead sign, a nearby village had the upside down version of the sign up for almost a year. I thought nobody else could be this stupid, but I stand corrected!!! Also, I love the "top hat" on I-87!!! Great photos :clapping:

I was just going through my photos, and and I noticed something that struck me as odd:

Image

This was taken in Rhode Island. On the top display you see the standard "don't walk" hand signal. On the bottom is the actual word "WALK". If you look closely though, it looks like the top display is a combo don't walk/walk display as there's something else there that's next to the hand that looks like the walking man symbol. I didn't see this in action, so I have no idea how it operates, but seeing this pic makes me want to see it in action...
