LarryC39 wrote:Joe, is your K-282 visor steel or aluminum? My steel visors have the same rounded/hard brass rivet tab on the body, my aluminum visors from that era are straight L-brackets and aren't curved at the door.

And I second Ryan's question

Aluminum sir.

Heres some pics of my short fin Eaglelux. Was rushed during restoration and the paint was poorly applied. Going to restored again this summer.
The reflectors are the earlier style, and it used to have a paper tag inside that was faded and appeared to read "48" or "1948" which I assume was the manufacture year. I accidently destroyed it trying to take it out of the housing when i was disassembling it to be washed, the paper tag was very brittle and ended up pitchin it

I recently acquired a sectional no logo 2 section Eaglelux single face beacon with cast visors. Once I looked inside, I noticed that the reflector assemblies were stamped steel, not aluminum. I would assume that these would be the earliest stamped reflector assemblies, predating the aluminum ones. I would assume the lenses being Kopp 88A's were not original to the light.

There is a set of WAIT-WALK lenses screaming to be placed in this light! Oh, how I wanted to bid on this one! CONGRATULATIONS, JOHN!
