Any Teeco Sightings?

Postby eagleyes on Fri Nov 23, 2012 1:31 am

Just for fun, I thought it might be interesting to see if anyone has anything from Teeco to post. Given the fact that it's probably the last company to produce fixed-faced 4 ways, it would be interesting to see if anybody has something besides this:

It would be great if anyone had in service pictures to pass along. I get tired of watching the old classics rusting, corroding, or getting beaten to death. It would be nice to see a fresh-faced 4 way back in service.

Just a happy thought while I digest leftovers.

How long have you had that copy of their site? When I go to their site, I cannot find anything about them selling signals anymore.

Ashville, OH uses ALL Teecos. They even have the Green/Yellow overlap and dark phases. They were installed a few years back, and look exactly the same as the old yellow Sargent Sowells except the Teecos are black and use LEDs.

I was doing some computer cleanup and ran into THAT aging file. Thought it would be an interesting diversion. I was also trying to teach myself how to post pictures should I run into anything interesting.

Nothing like that to spot here in Cali... The only 4-way anything I know of here are the two 4-way Sargent Sowell Beacons in Shasta City, wwwaaaaayyyy up north, almost to the Oregon border.

Their archived site has them available as late as 2009.... :Phil:
They also offered push buttons and totally non-NEMA electronic controllers. The pictures are all broken but I remember the controller being quite different than anything out there. Of course they also offered the traditional mechanical controller from the Sarge era.
