McCain will be next to come up with something to compete with Cobalt and X2.
Siemens equipment is definitely cool, but its getting pretty dated now with how fast things are changing. The EPAC M50 is quickly closing in on being 15 years old and SE-PAC is over 20 years old with tons of upgrades and fixes.

Isn't Siemens looking to unload Eagle Signal, though that's what I heard- that might take attention away from R&D

I think some people require the buttons, or really want them, so for now we're keeping them just in case. There is also a "classic" mode on the controller that does away with the new GUI and just uses the old menu-based structure that the ASC/3 currently has. In that case, I think you have to have some of the buttons, but I could be wrong.
Hey, Dan...?
BUTTONS are good, but...
where are the THUMBWHEELS on that thing???

Cobalt is not Android based, and I would like to see a thumbwheel version too!
They both run on a Linux OS with web browser based remote interface. You guys can keep the thumbwheels! I'll take the touch screen
