I would HOPE a lag in response from a remote command center (TMC) wouldn't put an intersection into flash!

I would venture a guess and say maybe it was a failed response from the BIU's???

Thanks Tacoma Joe,

Well I was on call and was called out to an intersection from the personnel at the TMC (Traffic Management Center) of a reported IIF (Intersection in Flash). Upon arriving at the intersection I noticed it was running like it was suppose to be. I then checked my Reports/Alarm screen and I seen this.

DIAG: FIELDIO FAULT
DIAG: FIELDIO RESPONSE MAX

Down here we run NEMA TS2 cabinet with an Eagle EPAC M51 controller and EDI MMU 16-E. I asked around and there wasn't really anyone that had seen this problem before, and I looked into the manual and of course it was vague. It said that it had something to do with communication, but know sure if it was back to our TMC over the fiber?

Any input would be great or if you had seen this problem before.

Josh

I am running full TS2 operation with EPAC M52 in my display. I checked the manual and couldnt find DIAG:FIELDIO RESPONSE MAX...I found DIAG: FIELDIO FAIL. I think I had that failure once while I was configuring the TS2 communication but never got it again.

Are you running the firmware using the field IO subset?.... UNIT DATA>>LOAD DEFAULT. There should be a series of subsets to the SE-PAC "Full Function EPAC" Firmware including TS2, FIO, CBD, ITS, etc.

If it has lost communication with the TMC, Than the TMC may think it is "in flash".... :Wink2:

Around here the police call them in as "On Flash" because a LED is about to fail and is strobing.....

  GE DR-6 LEDs = $$$$$... :good:
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.
