EM, NEMA, whatever - if it controls a traffic signal, you can talk about it here.

Joe? Is that lock style familiar to you?

That looks like the lock that WSDOT has on the terminal cans for mast arm poles. I think we have a few of the same on beacon flasher cabinets.

It's the original to the cabinet...here are some pictures.

That is an SFIC cabinet lock. They are most commonly associated with Best, but other manufacturers make them. The cylinders (cores) for them are very easy to find.

Here is a good source for them, I have purchased from this locksmith several times before and have never had a problem.

Nice e/m signal controller, and the cabinet that it is housed in looks great, too.

Just out of curiosity, in regards to the pedestal, what company manufactured it? I believe I have seen this type of pedestal in person a handful of times, and its base is rather interesting (along the lines of mainly the design) to me.

Steven,

The base is an original Eagle base ....the pipe is a regular 4 inch. The slipfitter came with the cabinet.

Please pardon the interruption for what's probably a stupid question, but what's that??

terminal cans for mast arm poles

On a mast arm pole the cables from the heads all come inside the arm, down to pole to a terminal box mounted at 9 feet. The box is about 12X12 maybe 10" deep. The cable from the cabinet and the cables from the heads get tied together on terminals in the can.

This is a school beacon cabinet, about the same thing but a terminal cabinet would have a couple 2" holes punched in the back for cable access. Image
