what is the correct name for this NEMA cabinet part?

EM, NEMA, whatever - if it controls a traffic signal, you can talk about it here.

I have a coffee can full of cabinet hardware over at the other house. What size bolt? I think there are 1/4-20 and 5/16.

HD and Lowes do not carry them. They wouldn't know one if you told them the manufacturer's part number.

My local HD's have them stocked on the top shelf of the metal-box section. Right next to where they keep the Uni-strut (the Uni-strut that's usually been run over by a freight train semi-truck fork lift :Phil: ).

Wow, hold on to that store! I went by mine a couple months ago, they didn't even know what a "pull box" was, and there was hundreds in their parking lot.

I can check my cabinet, if you thing yours is non-standard?

These are 1/4-20 bolts, and the size of the nut is 9/16" tall, 1-1/16" wide, and 5/16" thick, not counting the spring.

These cabinets use NON-UNISTRUT brand nuts. BUT a larger (not thicker) nut will fit, it just won't rotate as far to lock.
