DC DOT (who's new logo is rather amusing, consisting of "d." - get it?) group buy, yo umay have seen me looking for interested folks. Today was the pickup day, and it was a hell of a day. The auction listed 30 signals, of vehicle and pedestrian influence, and showed a few pictures. Of note in the images in the auction were some 3Ms, old grey Durasigs, and newer black Durasigs.
Had to rent a UHaul, as 30 sigs would not fit into my pickup!

Now, I didn't get any pictures of the lot before I started picking through it. Luckily, Heather came with me to load the lights - without her help, I'd still be there today, and severely pissed off at rush-hour traffic, and suffer from possible heat stroke.
The first load we got 26 signals in the pickup and UHaul trailer. Got home to unload them all at 12:15p. Left right away (as time was a factor) and went to load up more. We got back down there at 2p, and started loading into the truck. Midway through I started feeling like a$$, and had to sit in the truck with the AC on. Heather at this point decided to start taking apart the lights we were taking, to get the LED modules out. Once I recovered, we finished loading lights. We could have fit a few more in the pickup, but the employees were calling it a day (it *IS* Friday, after all) at 3:30p we headed back home. Only got 18 signals the second trip, because of time and the heat getting to me.

This is NOT a "Phil" pickup, but it was close!
Lights after making it home:

Not pictured are over about 20 LED modules taken out of other signals that were busted or not taken. Also obtained on the same trim, but not part of the auction was two "acrons". An "acorn" is the smaller size of the "pineapple" used on mast tops in the DC area on older signal and light masts:

One still has the led tag on it, though I have no idea what it means. Then also got a grey-colored GTE slip-fitter:

I did learn that DC over the years had two specific "grey" colors - visible in the last signal pic above - the older signals were more of a green-grey - the original DC Grey color. Then there's the newer true grey - all newer items (hardware, newer 3Ms, etc) were a more blue-er gray. Compare in the last signal image above, the older Durasig (partially hidden behind the astrobracket), and the newer Durasig, just beyond it.
If you're a participant, and you haven't replied to my PM yet, please do so!
