While i like Siemens/Eagle signals they are really being left into the dust by their competitors. I dont think Siemens has a huge interest in the American market and is using legacy designs to just make the money rather than spend the money to bring the equipment into the 21st century.

It sounds like the flagship signals are LED only. They replace SIG with SG on their site and makes sense when compared to the order form thats been around for a while

Alusig (aluminum type SA) housings are still available as of that order form. I personally like the compact streamline look of DuraSig, AluSig and all the new Econolites. Looks much cleaner in appearance than the exposed hinge and latches.

But of course appearance rarely means anything in todays world! :crazy:

I am a railfan, signalfan, and I'm interested in tornado sirens. I hope to learn new things about traffic lights because I'm interested in them and don't know much about them.

And for record, got a price from one of the distributers that serves my area.

Looks like an 8" single section, no LED or reflector, with visor, runs about $35.
