Hi my name is Vaughn and am very excited to join. I have a crouse hinds type dt single light, well green yello red. Looking to restore it and am looking for the gaskets (asbestoes), bulbs, the things you screw them into (cloth wires are rotted) The right color from the factory back in 1952. Green, but what's the right color green?
I'm looking foward to hearing from anyone that has the same interest. I've always wanted a traffic light and I'm telling you the best things in life are free.I love my light but not as much as I'd love a 4 way traffic light.

And greetings from up here in central Jersey!
Beware that the porcelain sockets available at many stores are a little too big for a DT frame. I had to unfasten one of the mounting arms on each frame to fit the new sockets in my DT. It works, but isn't ideal, you could say.

A DT is a good choice and Crouse Hinds is my favorite brand
How are you going to paint it. Spray cans or with paint mixed to shoot in a gun. I have the codes for CH paint mixed at a PPG supplier or I know the rattle cans to get

Hi Vaughn,
If you visit the Signal Restoration section of this forum, you'll see a bunch of restos on Crouse-Hinds decos. A member in here (Gordon - AKA gwlreno) does a great job re-wiring the old sockets and making cork gaskets. The rope gasket around the doors (or something pretty close) can be bought on line and is listed in that section too. Members have spare parts too. Lots of info in here. Welcome
