What happened to the Eaglelux being next! :Wink2:

I will be giving it a "facelift" next year, but only back to the point where it looked when it was up in the air.

Joe your a brave man for trying to get these old Detroit clusters apart. I don't even want to attempt such a task on my Detroit Eaglelux duo, it will stay just as it is.

Looking forward to seeing the results.

Actually Detroit hardware, and for the most part signals aren't that hard to tear down. The hardware mounting nuts were typically axle-greased so they just loosen right up. The signals usually have so many coats of paint the original fastners are preserved beautifully. I had a GE Novalux just fall right apart. My Marb wasn't too bad either.

All the Detroit lights I had came right apart. I know that when they install new lights everything has to be never seized and siliconed

Two of the four heads in this cluster had water in them. The nuts are rusted onto the nipples badly. The rest of the nuts were ok.

Got the cluster apart - had to notch the nuts that held the heads to the bottom hardware.

Sans wiring - hanger needs to be removed - top was cut by contractor, not useable

Can anyone date this wiring??
