Hiya Folks,

We saw this hydrant while driving through Vaughn, NM about 30 miles north of Roswell.

Clearly the aliens transported it back after studying it and they simply miscalculated the distance from the mothership to ground level.
Moderately inspirational message.

Because the fire hydrant has been around since the 1930s

The road was raised and the side walk and new curbing was added.

If it is not a pay item number on the contract for the improvements...

Civil Service = It is what it is.
Well what do you know. If I put my name here, I do not have to sign it everytime.

Like Phil said, if it's not on the contract/scope of work, it's not getting done (but will be ignored completely). Same with government work or the private sector.

I'm surprised that none of you have pointed out how dangerous the hydrant is? Can you imagine riding your bike at night, and hitting that thing? Or just tripping over it.
