I realize that this violates the eBay policy, but I consider this an exception...
I noticed yesterday that there is an active auction on eBay, where the seller is selling 3 Econolite ASC/3 controllers. The auction has little to no information, but the seller is apparently in the state of Maryland (one of Econolite's largest customers), and the auction also contains a picture of the serial number on one of the controllers. We searched for records of that serial number here at the office and found that the controller was the property of the Maryland State Highway Administration, and was actually repaired by us fairly recently (in other words, they had no reason to sell it).
MSHA is investigating this situation currently, but at the moment I would consider these controllers STOLEN GOODS, and would strongly advise against anyone purchasing them.
Here is a link to the auction in question, for clarity: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290842430914?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Again, it is likely that these are STOLEN GOODS, so I highly advise against purchasing them.
