Hiya Folks,

Used a brass cup wheel and buffed the cabinet. Think this will do for holding paint.

Will do the same on the other parts before primer painting.

Hi Ed,

The light is slowly coming about. The cabinet and some of the other parts cleaned up nicely. Going to paint it the black and white as original. Will be an odd ball on our back porch. Was going to primer paint today, but we have all day rain.

Hiya Folks,

Finally started primer painting the parts for the Plessey. All the holes are filled and the dings are not near as pronounced as before.

Still have to make a wiring harness and a bracket to hold the sequencer in the top cover.

Hi Folks,

Weather is not very good today for any paint work on the Plessey. Have set the studs in the top cap of the signal for installing the sequencer. There is not much room in the cabinet of this design and the top cap seems to be the best place to mount the sequencer.

Keith, that is a very neat mount for the controller. :thumbsup:

Did you drill and tap a blind hole for the studs or did you epoxy them in?

[EDIT - Ed T.] Nevermind. I see you answered this question before I even asked it over on HighwayDivides.

Hi Ed,

Holes were drilled, tapped and the studs installed with a locking nut. Applied Locktite to prevent the studs from backing out. Figured this was the best way to attach the sequencer to endure the elements of Texas. The exterior look has not been changed or altered.

This is a photo of the top end piece.

The bottom end piece had a nice ding on one of the edge lips that had to be straightened and repaired.
This is the part shown on the right of photo.

This is the same part after repair and primer paint.

After we get a little warm weather, plan to paint all the parts.

Hi Folks,

Sun came out and the afternoon turned out very nice!

Started painting some of the parts with white paint.

The center portion of the cabinet is painted white. Will paint the end sections black in a few days.

These are the end covers.

Top cover looks pretty normal.

Suppose to rain tomorrow, so will try to make the wiring harness for this unit and clean some of the hardware.

Hi Folks,

Due to other events, we were not able to work on any of our projects for a while. Did start back on the Plessey today. Masked the center area of the cabinet where we had painted white. The ends were painted with their first coat of black along with some of the other parts.

Hope to work on this signal more tomorrow.
