Hi Folks,

We have continued to work on the post for the CH "DT" Single Faced Light yesterday and hope to complete the light and post today if all goes well.

This is the gasket to go over the homemade slipfitter and top of post. The gasket is normally used to seal a tank top to a commode. The recess in the gasket fit perfectly over the post neck. Had to do some searching for this gasket to find one that is made of a fairly hard rubber and not a cellular foam seal.

Were the brass acorn nuts with the light when you got it, or did you purchase them?? If so, where did you get them??

Hi Mark,

The original "Acorn" cap nuts with this light were aluminum. We decided on the brass look and picked those up at a local family owned hardware store. The head or cap on the nut is about 1 to 2 mm shorter than the original brass nuts on our CH "D" 4-way.

Cheers!

Looks good

DT ran aluminum accorn nuts and type D had a couple different versions of brass accorns

So it's a $H*TFITTER instead of a slipfitter

Looks really great!
